A 15-song introduction to the greatness that is Shane Smith & The Saints

There are tons of underrated and underrated country music bands out there, but few more than the Austin, TX-based band. Shane Smith and the Saints.

You should already be familiar with Shane Smith & the Saints by now. They were one of the top bands in the industry for years, releasing their debut album Coast in 2013 and has been traveling the country tirelessly ever since. If that’s not enough, you’ve probably at least heard their song “All I see is you” on season four of Yellowstone.

With three studio albums, one live album and several singles in their catalog, they have made a name for themselves with their distinct sound, intricate harmonies and electrifying live performances. Smith’s uniquely deep, gravelly voice is complemented by his skill in songwriting and storytelling, cementing his place among the finest singers in all of music.

However, the rest of the group is equally important to the group’s success. The band has drawn comparisons to the Turnpike Troubadours over the years, and this is largely due to the band’s prominent use of the fiddle. Violinist Bennett Brown is one of the most talented musicians and his stage presence is spectacular, almost always dressed in his Carhartt overalls.

Rounding out the rest of the band are Dustin Schafer on lead guitar, drummer Zach Stover and bassist Chase Satterwhite. Together they are a force to be reckoned with.

If for some reason you’re not familiar with their music, or just haven’t delved into their catalog, here are 15 of my favorite Shane Smith & the Saints songs.
