Death metal supergroup Bloodbath are back with Survival of the sickesttheir first new album since 2018 and a thrilling and bloody music video for the opening track “Zombie Inferno”.
It’s the band’s sixth album and the third in the Nick Holmes era, as the Paradise Lost frontman now becomes the most prominent frontman Bloodbath has ever had when it comes to complete recordings. Previously, Mikael Akerfeldt of Opeth contributed to two studio albums, two EPs and two live releases while Peter Tagtgren of Hypocrisy was heard in 2004. Nightmares made of flesh.
Survival of the sickest follows 2018 Satan’s arrow is drawn and “Zombie Inferno” is a heartbreaking introduction to the full set of new music, which will arrive September 9 on Napalm Records.
