Haunt Keep Classic Heavy Metal Flame Burning With New Song And Album

For the past few years, Haunt has preserved the original style of heavy metal from their base in Fresno, California. Led by Trevor William Church, also of Beastmaker doomsters, the band have been hugely prolific and have now released their latest album, windows to your soulwith the release of the title track.

This will be Haunt’s seventh feature film overall after the first release of the ignite LP in 2018 and, despite the constant production, Church, who handles vocals, guitar and bass, has a knack for variation. On “Windows of Your Soul,” the classic NWOBHM foundation remains firmly in place, but Haunt plays with devilishly catchy pop melodies, but it’s applied in short bursts. There’s also a bit of punk flair as Haunt continues to advance their sound.

Yet that patent ’80s metal style is never far from sight, especially the work of the “Prince of Darkness.” “Ozzy Osbourne gave me the courage to be a singer. He taught me how to be a singer. My music naturally goes that way,” Church confessed.
