VMAs 2022 Artist List: Who’s Performing at the VMAs?


The 2022 MTV Video Music Awards will take place on Sunday evening, August 28 in a ceremony to be held live at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. But the performances are often even more exciting than the winners. So, who takes the stage at the event? Scroll down for the full list of artists, updated as new names are announced.

Last year’s big winner at the event was “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” by Lil Nas X, which won Video of the Year. Nas is on top again, leading the 2022 nominations with seven nominations. It is linked with Jack Harlow, with whom he shares most of his nominations including Video of the Year for their “Industry Baby” collaboration. The only nomination they don’t share is Artist of the Year, where they go up instead. versus each other. Joining them with seven nominations is Kendrick Lamar, though most of its offerings are in professional categories like Best Direction and Best Cinematography; his only fan-voted offerings are Best Hip-Hop for “N95” and Video for Good for “The Heart Part 5”.

Then with six names each are Harry Styles and Doja Cat. They are both up for Video of the Year for “As it Was” and “Woman,” respectively. Other nominees for this award are “Way 2 Sexy” by Duck with Coming and young thug“Chills” by Ed Sheeran“Brutal” by Olivia Rodrigueand the VMAs darling’s short version of “All Too Well” Taylor Swift. If Swift wins, she will be the first artist in VMAs history to claim Video of the Year three times.

A winner is already guaranteed, however: Nicki Minaj will receive the Video Vanguard Award for professional achievement in music videos.
